Diana is a general practitioner with longstanding involvements in health reform ordered towards the evolution of a strong, integrated and equitable primary health care system with quality general practice at its centre. Di is the chair of WentWest, which is the Western Sydney Medicare Local and also the Regional General Practice Training Provider for Greater Western Sydney.
This role is complemented by membership of the Western Sydney Local Health District Board which facilitates the development of a strong partnership between the two organizations. . She is deeply involved in the evolution of initiatives such as HealthOne and NSW’s Connecting Care in the Community which aims to improve integrated, person and family centred, continuing care.
Di is also a member of the Australian Medicare Local Board and the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation’s GP Adviser Group. She has recently chaired both the RACGP’s Presidential Task Force on Health Reform and the NSW General Practice Advisory Council, and continues to work with a range of organizations at local, regional and state levels on health reform related matters.
