Anna works as a Service Improvement Facilitator with the North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (NEMICS) in Victoria. NEMICS is a cancer clinical network. Prior to working in the area of cancer service improvement, Anna worked clinically as an Occupational Therapist, in both public and private hospitals and as a care coordinator within acute hospitals. She has also worked as a program advisor with the Department of Human Services and in project roles in both aged care and adolescent and young adult cancer. Anna is passionate about the issues faced by people with chronic conditions having to traverse multiple health settings, and the need for better coordination and integration of different health care sectors. Since 2007, Anna’s role in NEMICS is to drive improvements across the acute primary care interface, coordination of cancer care and health literacy.
